1. ELIGIBILITY: Participation in the Security Finance 70th Anniversary Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes” or “Promotion”) is limited to legal residents of Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin (the “Eligibility Area”) who are at least 18 years of age or older at the time of entry (the “Entrant”). The Sweepstakes is void outside of the Eligibility Area and where restricted or prohibited by law. Employees of Security Finance Corporation of Spartanburg (the “Sponsor”), its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, suppliers, marketing partners, advertising and promotion agencies, including Marden-Kane, Inc. (the “Administrator”) and their respective employees, officers and directors (collectively the “Released Parties”), and any other companies engaged in the development, administration, production, fulfillment or distribution of materials for this Sweepstakes, and the immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they live) and persons living in the same households of such persons, are not eligible to enter or win a prize. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Winning a prize is contingent on eligibility verification and compliance with these Official Rules.
2. PROMOTION PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins on July 1, 2025 at 12:00:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on September 30, 2025 at 11:59:59 PM ET (the “Promotion Period”). The Administrator runs the official clock for the Sweepstakes and will solely determine the time by which an entry is received.
3. HOW TO ENTER: During the Promotion Period, access the online entry form by scanning the Quick Response code (“QR code”) found on advertising materials at Security Finance branch locations or by visiting www.SecurityFinance70thAnniversarySweepstakes.com. To enter, you must complete all required information on the Sweepstakes entry form. As part of the Sweepstakes entry process, Entrants will be required to indicate that they have read, accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Limit one entry per person using only one email address throughout the Promotion Period. Entries received from any person or email address in excess of the stated limitation will render all of such person’s entries void and ineligible.
In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online Entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Entries are subject to the acceptance and acknowledgement of these Official Rules and any other applicable Terms of Services/Privacy Policy. When using a web-enabled mobile device to scan the QR code and/or to enter, message and data rates may apply. You agree to incur any and all charges demanded by your wireless carrier. Not all mobile devices offer wireless internet access, and wireless internet access may not be available in all areas.
All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor.
4. RANDOM DRAWING: Random drawings from among all eligible entries received for each State will be conducted on or about October 2, 2025 to select winners (one winner per State with the exception of Oklahoma which will have two winners, and Texas which will have three winners) from among all eligible entries received for each State. All random drawings will be conducted by Marden-Kane, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions are final and binding. The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received for each State.
5. PRIZES AND VALUE: There will be a total of Fourteen (14) Grand Prizes (1 winner per State with the exception of Oklahoma which will have two winners, and Texas which will have 3 winners). Each confirmed Grand Prize winner will receive a prize check in the amount of $1,955. The total value of all prizes available to be won is $27,370. All applicable federal, state, and local taxes on the prize and any expenses relating to the acceptance/use of the prize not specified herein are the sole responsibility of the winner. The value of the prize is taxable as income, and each winner will receive an IRS Form 1099 for the total value of the prize as stated herein. All prize details not specified in these Official Rules will be determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. Prize consists of only the items specifically listed as part of the prize. Limit one prize per person/household.
No substitutions, transfers or assignments of prize permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.
6. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND CLEARANCE: Prize award is subject to verification of eligibility. The potential winners will be notified by the Administrator via phone and/or email. Potential winners (and parent/legal guardian if a potential winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) will be required to complete, sign and return the following documents: [1] an affidavit of eligibility and liability release, and where legal, a publicity release, [2] an IRS Form W-9 to include potential winner’s Social Security Number, which will be used only for the purpose of reporting the winner’s prize earnings to the Internal Revenue Service, and [3] a background check authorization form (collectively, the “Documents”). The Documents must be returned to the Administrator by the date stated in the notification email or the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be selected. Sponsor reserves the right to conduct a background check on potential winners; potential winners must cooperate with the Sponsor and authorize said background check as a condition of prize award. By entering the Sweepstakes, Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any potential winner at any time based on the results of a background check. Any false statement by an Entrant will result in automatic disqualification. If a potential winner (i) cannot be contacted after a reasonable attempt has been made by the Administrator (as determined in the Sponsor’s sole discretion); or (ii) fails to timely return the required paperwork without alteration and in the form presented by the Administrator; or (iii) refuses the prize; or (iv) the prize or prize notification is rejected or returned as undeliverable, then such potential winner will be disqualified and forfeit all rights to be deemed a winner in the Sweepstakes and receive the prize, and an alternate winner will be selected in a random drawing by the Administrator from the remaining eligible entries. Only three alternate drawings will be held in an attempt to award a prize, after which the prize will remain unawarded. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given, and Sponsor will have no further obligation to that Entrant.
7. GENERAL: By entering, Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements and the decisions of the Sponsor and its agents, which are final and binding. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify Entrants who violate these Official Rules or interfere with this Sweepstakes in any manner. Any attempt by an Entrant to enter the Sweepstakes and/or obtain more than the stated number of entries permitted herein by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other method, will void that Entrant’s entries, and that Entrant will be disqualified. Use of any automated entry software is prohibited. Electronically reproduced, illegible, incomplete, or inaccurate entries are void. The Released Parties are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human or printing error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any online service or website, inability to submit the online entry form, or any other error or malfunction whether mechanical, human or electric that may limit a person’s ability to participate in this Sweepstakes, or any injury or damage to Entrant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile device related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes, or for late, lost, stolen, illegible, misdirected or incomplete entries.
NOTICE: Any attempt by an Entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any online service or website, or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes, is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and/or other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision.
8. INDEMNIFICATION; CANCELLATION OF PROMOTION: Entrants agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, actions, injury, loss, or damage of any kind, including but not limited to, personal injury or death, resulting, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, which may occur in connection with participation in this Sweepstakes, or from the acceptance, use or misuse of a prize or participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity, or for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. Released Parties assume no responsibility for undeliverable e-mails resulting from any form of active or passive e-mail filtering by a user's Internet service provider and/or e-mail client or for insufficient space in user's e-mail account to receive e-mail. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes if it cannot be executed as planned for any reason or event beyond Sponsor’s control, including, but not limited to, a force majeure event or occurrence (e.g., war, riots, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, blackouts, supply shortages, order of governmental authority, etc.), an “act of God” (e.g., natural disaster, etc.) or an unforeseeable health event (e.g., pandemic or epidemic) making it inadvisable, impractical, impossible or illegal, or which materially affects a party’s ability to perform its obligations under this agreement in whole or in part, or if fraud, technical failures, human error or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. If the Sweepstakes is terminated before the end of the Promotion Period, Sponsor may, at its discretion, award prize(s) in a random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to the time of termination. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded.
9. PLEASE READ: IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING DISPUTE RESOLUTION. These Official Rules contain terms that govern how claims relating to this Promotion will be resolved. For example, they include an arbitration agreement and waiver of a class action that require submitting Promotion-related claims to an arbitrator (instead of going to court before a judge or jury). They also limit the ability to bring claims on behalf of other persons (that is, it prohibits bringing any class action or collective or representative proceeding). The Official Rules also limit the type of damages that can be recovered. Please read these terms carefully as they impact your legal rights and, by participating in the Promotion you are agreeing to the terms.
CHOICE OF LAW/JURISDICTION AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION: This Sweepstakes is offered only in Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin and is governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any of the terms of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision. By participating, Entrants irrevocably consent to the dispute resolutions stated below as well as to the sole and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of South Carolina located in the County of Spartanburg for any action, suit or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Promotion.
Entrant agrees that whenever you have a disagreement with Administrator or Sponsor arising out of, connected to, or in any way related to the Promotion, the Official Rules, or the Sponsor's and/or Administrator's Privacy Policy, you will send a written notice to the Sponsor (“Demand”). Entrant agrees that the requirements of this Dispute Resolution section will apply even to disagreements that may have arisen before Entrant accepted these Official Rules or the Sponsor's and/or Administrator's Privacy Policy. Entrant must send the Demand to the following address (the “Notice Address”): Security Finance, 181 Security Place, Spartanburg, SC 29307, Attention: General Counsel. Entrant agrees that he/she will not take any legal action, including filing a lawsuit or demanding arbitration, until 10 business days after Entrant sends a Demand. If the disagreement stated in the Demand is not resolved to Entrant’s satisfaction within 10 business days after it is received, and Entrant intends on taking legal action, Entrant agrees that it will file a demand for arbitration with the American Arbitration Association. This arbitration provision limits the ability of Entrant, Administrator, and Sponsor to litigate claims in court and Entrant, Administrator and Sponsor each agree to waive their respective rights to a jury trial or a state or federal judge. Entrant agrees that it will not file any lawsuit against Administrator or Sponsor in any state or federal court. Entrant agrees that if he/she does sue in state or federal court, and Administrator or Sponsor brings a successful motion to compel arbitration, Entrant must pay all fees and costs incurred by Administrator and Sponsor in court, including reasonable attorney’s fees. For any such filing of a demand for arbitration, Entrant must provide proper service under the rules of the American Arbitration Association and notice to the Notice Address may not be sufficient. If, for any reason, the American Arbitration Association is unable to conduct the arbitration, Entrant may file its case with any national arbitration company. The arbitrator shall apply the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules effective September 1, 2014 (and as may be amended) and as modified by the agreement to arbitrate in this Dispute Resolution section. Entrant agrees that the arbitrator will have sole and exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute it has with Administrator or Sponsor. The Federal Arbitration Act allows for the enforcement of arbitration agreements and governs the interpretation and enforcement of the agreement to arbitrate. The place of arbitration shall be Spartanburg, South Carolina. Entrant agrees that it will not file a class action or collective action against Administrator or Sponsor, and that Entrant will not participate in a class action or collective action against them. Entrant agrees that it will not join its claims to those of any other person. Notwithstanding any other provision in the Official Rules, or the Sponsor's and/or Administrator's Privacy Policy, if this class action waiver is invalidated, then the agreement to arbitrate is null and void, as though it were never entered into, and any arbitration dispute at that time will be dismissed without prejudice and may be refiled in a court. Under no circumstances does Entrant, Administrator, or Sponsor agree to class or collective procedures in arbitration or the joinder of claims in arbitration. Administrator and Sponsor agree that we will submit all disputes with Entrant to arbitration before the arbitrator. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the Entrant and the Sponsor in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of South Carolina, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of South Carolina or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of South Carolina. This arbitration provision shall survive conclusion, modification or termination of the Promotion and suspension, revocation, closure, modification, or amendments to the Official Rules, and any aspect of the relationship of the parties relating to or arising from participation in the Promotion.
10. PRIVACY; PUBLICITY: By participating, where permitted by law, Entrant agrees to the use of his/her personal information in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy. Entrant, by accepting a prize, consents to the use of his/her name, photograph, voice, videotape, and likeness for purposes of advertising and publicity in all media worldwide, including a winners list or other online winner announcement, without further compensation or notice. Sponsor reserves the right to use any entry, response or comment made by an Entrant, in whole or in part, in any and all media now known or hereafter discovered, without further compensation or notice.
11. SEVERABILITY: If any provision(s) of these Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.
